What is egg donor prequalification?

Think of it as the “are we good to keep going?” step. You’ll answer some basic questions about yourself, your health and your history. We’re looking at things like your age, height and weight, medications, health history, family history and a few lifestyle factors. Nothing crazy. And you don’t need to know every detail of your medical history just to get started.

The goal is simply to figure out whether you meet the initial requirements to move forward.

Why do we need to do this first?

Because your time matters. Becoming an egg donor involves a more detailed application, medical screening, genetic screening and other steps. There’s no reason to put you through all of that if there’s something we can identify right at the beginning that means egg donation isn’t a good fit.

Prequalification helps us figure that out early — before you invest a lot of time in the process.

What happens after I prequalify?

If everything looks good, you’ll move on to the next part of the donor application and we’ll start learning a little more about you. And don’t worry — you’re not expected to magically know how egg donation works. That’s our job.
